The ESSSB is a biennial European symposium considered as the most important international meeting in the field of suicidology and suicide prevention in Europe. Moreover, the scientific standard at the biennial European symposium is now recognised as one of the best in the world. Researchers from all over the world present high-level scientific work and meet each other, exchanging knowledge and experiences.
Esssb18
The ESSSB18 will be held in Rome, from 1st to 4th September 2020; the venue will be the same of the ESSSB13, which took place in Rome in 2010: The Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas, commonly known as the Angelicum.
Rome is the symbol of the overlap of Modern and Classical culture: keeping the common spirit of the previous and successful ESSSB symposia, ESSSB18 through its high-quality, multidisciplinary scientific programme, will offer the opportunity to discuss the current state of the art about suicide prevention, focusing on novel perspectives, and will enable young researchers to meet and interact with experts in the field.
The suggestive location in Rome will make this experience even more unique: Rome offers a mixture of history, culture, gastronomy and nightlife. In this context we are determined to organise a stimulating congress and to make the participants’ stay in Rome memorable, keeping in mind that the most important aspect for any congress is that participants feel part of it, and that they can learn and exchange knowledge and ideas with colleagues and friends from around the world.
